An Oasis of Calm

I had cause to pop into Peterborough today. I always make time to visit the cathedral while I'm there. It's a beautiful building and an oasis of calm in the middle of a busy city. I'm not the only one to do this...on any given day you can see people wandering through the grounds clutching their shopping bags and gazing with admiration at the gorgeous architecture.

I must go back early one morning, or maybe in the evening, with my SLR and a wide angle lens. I only had my little G9 with me today and this shot doesn't do the place justice.
