On Maple Creek

Quad Macchiato

This morning I stopped in at what used to be Bill's Evinrude under the bridge beginning in the 1930s.

In his hay day, Bill was known for flying his small plane under the bridge spans and dropping marshmallows for the kids on Bay Street.

Before Bill died in the late 1990s, most afternoons you could see him through the open garage door slumped over napping in a big easy chair.

These days, four-shot macchiatos and other espresso drinks line the old riverside work bench where Bill used to work on outboard boat motors.
