Lip-locking

Our gold severum cichlids are lip-locking! This always a funny sight. They lock lips and float through the aquarium like that. Severums can be choosy about their partner, so they often engaging in lip-locking activities to see if their mate is "worthy". This is also part of their courtship behaviour, but up to now they have not made any attempt to lay eggs.
