La vida de Annie

Market day

Headed off to Mahon this morning to complete some little errands. These included, in no particular order, the purchase of a new toilet seat after Enya's overenthusiastic, er, cleaning; the purchase of some plastic curtain hooks to replace those I snapped when hanging onto the curtains for support when returning from the bar last night; and a visit to the tattoo artist to get advice on a second artwork I'm planning. None of these projects was successful; the tattoo parlour was closed, no hooks of the correct type could be found, and the sheer variety of loo seats left my poor brain in a spin - colour, size, shape, novelty design, too many variables. Decided to take measurements and return another day, although I'm not sure about shape - ladies, is it best to opt for round and wide or long slender oval? Hardly matters to men of course, they just eject their body fluids anywhere. I didn't mean that how it sounds, before the one-rater gets excited...

Anyway, not a total waste of time, as it was market day so lots of colourful and glittery things to look at, and relaxing places to sit people-watching over coffee. Back home for a siesta, then a quiet night in with home-made cocktails. Tomorrow is el Dia de la Madre, so we'll be treating ourselves to a slap-up Mother's Day meal out somewhere yummy, both of us being Mums.

Have a great bank holiday weekend, you folks back in Blighty. :-)
