5. hole par 5

This hole at the Glenmarie Valley Course is one of the best holes we played on this trip. It is a not overly long par 5 wher you must make a decision on every stroke. The drive is downhill and if you are an everage player you must hit your ball to the left otherwise you end up in the stoney creek in the middle of the fairway. The next shot can be anything between a 9 iron and a 5 iron depending how brave you are. It needs a bit of local knowledge to play the optimal shot. If you are not in the water the you have a short iron to the island green. The green is very large, so make a good decision otherwise you are either in the water or face a 3 putter!
