Up North

Mummyyyyy!

R. and I went for stroll around Noorddijk. The weather being a bit grey with a cold wind we didn't feel like a long wander. Saw lots of birds stil nesting or with youngs. We came to close to a pair of Lapwings and their youngs and th ey immediately started to make a lot of noise, flying around to distract us.
Dozens of Swallows. To fast for me to capture in flight, but I spotted one taking a rest on a stable door.
The inevitable Grey Heron, searching for fresh born Ducklings. His favorite meal as it seems.
The little Duckling above wandered away to far from its mum. When she called he went to her so fast that it looked like he was running on water.

Have a great sunday evening!
