Another day of waiting for the baby to arrive. We went off to the National Trust property, Biddulph Grange in north Staffordshire where there was a bonsai event. Pottered around the garden after we had chatted to the bonsai growers, although it was overcast with a strong cold wind blowing. Apart from the informal parts, such as here, just above the Chinese Garden, there are formal beds as well.

We then descended on our friends house bearing cake and hoping for a cup of tea. Dot had just been sorting her primula auricula plants and I thought they looked lovely against the tablecloth.
