Nothing Lives Forever...

This Gerbera bloom became separated from the plant after my daughter got her hands on it about eight days ago. I put the flower in a shot glass and we have been enjoying it on our table since then. Over the last day it has deteriorated and started to fall apart. Nothing lives for ever.
