We are Sailing.......

A brilliant day today. Out exploring the islands of Roaring Water Bay.

We found a sheltered beach and enjoyed the rock pools, hidden coves and wild bluebells. After a delicious picnic we challenged ourselves to making a craft using at least 3 different components found on the beach. This was the winning vessel made from an old lunch box, a paint tin lid and a large crisp packet, she was unstoppable and sailed perfectly across the cove. There were two Kontiki-like craft, one butter tub with sail and sea anchor, and a wine bottle raft that also floated/sailed across too.
