Birthday celebrations!

Somehow, all of Kelly's birthday celebrations have ended up being in the evenings, when the kids are not around to enjoy them. So, we had a birthday lunch today, so the kids could help Aunt Kelly celebrate her birthday!

In the morning, while Tyler was at preschool, Mia helped me clean up and make cupcakes. So, when Tyler got home, he helped me set the table and even got to help light the candles (it was a first with any sort of fire). He also wanted to carry the cupcakes over to Kelly.

So, with a bit of hesitation, I let him haul off with the lighted cupcakes and managed to snap a picture, despite my worries of my five year old carrying a plate of cupcakes that were on fire!

We enjoyed peanut M&M's and chocolate cupcakes and Tyler even sang Happy Birthday to Kelly in Espanol!

This evening, while the kids were at AWANA, the "big people" enjoyed an evening out, consuming marvelous Mexican food and good company. Happy Birthday Kelly!!
