Pollen Identification Cards

Just received this rather nifty set of 'Pollen Identification Cards' that was recently launched by the International Bee Research Association (IBRA) for only £3.50.

It is a 'Month-by-Month, Plant-by-Plant Pollen Colour Guide', to the plant types most frequently visited by Honey bees. It also shows which of those plants are best for the collection of nectar or just pollen.

Some of the Pollen colour samples are obvious like Pussy Willow being bright yellow, but I hadn't expected Oilseed Rape to be such a sharp bright green. And then there is the most obviously black pollen of the Poppy.

It is available at the IBRA Bookshop
