Lowry Museum, Salford Quays

Dulcie and I decided to venture a bit outside the city centre for a change, taking the tram for the first time! Was a bit of and adventure, we took it to Salford Quays to visit the Lowry Museum, a rather crazy building that is home to an art gallery and theatre. The exhibition on show was a retrospective of the eponymous, local hero, a really interesting exhibition which showed some of his lesser known works and the background behind them, tying them into the effects of industrialisation that inspired him to make his work.
