Caught in the act!!

Today we spent a lovely afternoon at Ella's 8th birthday party. Ella is Tanya's friend who will shortly be returning the USA after being on the island from Sept last year. It has been beautiful all week and today of all days it threatened to rain but it stayed away and the girls all had a chance to go for a dip in the pool...they were freezing but resilient! The Mallorquin children were the hardiest and lasted the longest by far!

What amazed us was that 3 languages were being spoken simultaneously between the children...English, Mallorquin and Castillian Spanish. I take my hat of to Ella who has mastered both Catalan and Spanish during the short time she has been here and she has just turned 8! Well done chica!!

I headed up to the house to find out what my youngest was getting up to as it was all quiet on the Ava front...which usually means trouble. I spied her from outside, having a nosey in Donna's kitchen so I watched her, unnoticed, for a bit and had a real giggle. She had a good old look in the fridge to see what could be found, but obviously thought it was all too healthy looking and came out empty handed!
