Shame I was in a hurry to get to the pub, no time for composing the shot. I just like these trees on Shandwick Place. Are they cherry trees? So much darker than usual if they are.

Anyway, pub got slightly out of hand tonight. 5 pints on a school night's a bit much for this old codger these days.

Started off in Ghillie Dhu, the new pub where the casino was on Rutland Place. Pretty good, I'd say, and cheap beer for a "trendy" pub in that part of town. They must make their money from the food instead. Take a guess at how much a "pie and a pint offer" was. Higher. No, you're not trying, higher. Ok, I'll just tell you, you'll never guess at this rate. It's a whopping £10.95! That had better be one enormous pie.

Instead of paying that, we went to the Mercat for nachos. Not cheap at £7 but really bloody good! Don't just take my word for it, rxs enjoyed them too. Mmm... nachos...
