Dorchester

This is Grey's Bridge over the River Frome in Dorchester, as featured in Far From The Madding Crowd. The dying Fanny collapsed here and was rescued by a large dog that got her as far as the poor-house at Casterbridge where, being a Hardy novel, she died. It bears the date 1748.
