Although they have since been moved to a room containing wood-effect shelves, a wooden-surfaced table and (despite the odd paint-fleck and sign of wear) these are apparently at great risk of being forcibly repainted with some sort of coloured paint. One was a bit too wibbly to bring down from Primary Storage and is safe for the time being but that I've used this for a blip twice in two weeks probably means that I quite like it and its associates the way they are and that painting over them rather than just freshening them with a bit of sandpaper would be WRONG. I might have to sand one fully down and matt-varnish it nicely to demonstrate the effect fully but it'd be worth it to avoid having non-wood-coloured chairs, even if they were free with the house.

Although the 6½ free chairs added to the four uncomfortable collapsible chairs we bought last year to support a combined parent-visit added to Nicky's recently-purchased gliding-chair added to the little wooden box thing added to the pregnancy-ball (bought long before any pregnancy as I thought they looked quite comfy) added to the 2½-seater loaner-sofa provides quite enough seating for well over the maximal anticipated simultaneous visitor-volume we still need to get our own sofa for when the loaner-sofa is recalled and lugged back to its owners. The expectation that we wouldn't really find anything remotely suitable was duly filled today after a trundle round three or four furnishing-warehouses, though luckily the heat had made the sales consultants which infest these things somewhat torpid and disinclined to chase us around the place droning on about the imaginary marvellousness of their various products.
