Armenian Nights

The final formal day of our conference in Yerevan, and as is tradition at these annual events, the host country puts on a fairly swish dinner to celebrate the gathering.

But any country hosting in the future is gonna have a hard act to follow! What an incredible evening - full of "surprises" (our hosts would never tell us where we were going or what was going to happen at any time, which was odd at first but we soon got used to it!). An incredible mansion, originally built for one man but now used for weddings, with many guests of honour and dignitaries from across Armenia, a band, endless tables of wonderful Armenian food, fireworks (indoor and outdoor!), plus - yep, you've guessed it - more toasts!

It was so lovely, warm and fun. Our network, which is made up of organisations who offer similar services to young people, is often described as "a family" and this really felt like it.

The dancing went on til the wee small hours, and even if it did feel a bit like we were at the wedding of Tony Soprano's daughter, it felt good!
