Faded Grandeur

I think a lot of the charm of Paris is the sense of history, and wondering how it was back when the ornate buildings and statues were new. So many of the buildings are crumbling and look a little tired - but it's lovely, it has a certain 'je ne sais quoi' (come on, I had to get that in somewhere!). I love that there's a brasserie on every corner where you could just sit all afternoon, read a book, and sip good coffee/wine (no time for that of course this weekend!)
