Eastern Lobber Grasshopper Nymph

About 50 very tiny grasshopper nymphs showed up in my yard about a week ago. Yesterday they reappeared on the opposite side of the yard, now 5 to 9 times larger than when I saw them last. This nymph is relatively small compared to some of the others. Mature Lobber Grasshoppers are large and very colorful (yellow/orange)... which warns potential predators that they are poisonous. Slow-moving and calm, they lay their eggs in the dirt. Although they do eat some leaves, they are as colorful as flowers and very peaceful, so they are welcome in my very lush landscape.
