This is part of one of my favourite sculptures in Edinburgh.

Located near the Filmhouse, it depicts a South African woman with her son, standing in front of their shelter. I like it because she is so proud despite being treated poorly by a country that thought she should not have equal rights because of the colour of her skin.

I'll take a pic of the top half of the statue soon - I couldn't get the exposure of it right on the iPhone, so thought the feet would do for now : )
