carpetbiter1 has a bit of a thing about doing these. she and her wee pal down the road can spend a long time at it. her competitive edge is showing as she tries to match the pal's set of 23 completed thingys. we mostly have boys, girls and teddies. down the road they've got fancy stuff.

i am trying to do more pals round to tea for the kids but am still feeling my way. this week it was cb1's turn. they seemed restless and flitted about the house. 'there's nothing to do' cb1 announced. she edged off to do bead things and cb2 came to the rescue to play with the chum. but after tea the mood shifted and once i'd got them outside skipping all was well.

cb1 doesnt really have a core gang of friends. she flits around which is a bit like i was/am.

it's that parental pull - part of me wants to make sure she's got pals and part of me thinks that if she's not bothered then i shouldnt be.
