Well, old enough to buy a drink

She's the latest of the North Shields Wooden Dollies and she's just turned 18. Previous occupants of the role were ship's figureheads which had bits carved from them as good luck charms by superstitious sailors. She doesn't seem to be suffering the same fate (she's always been armless) so perhaps GPS and short wave radio have helped dispel some of the woo.
