Secretaris Schumacher

This is the oldest (former) beach lifeboat in the Netherlands. The boat was sold decades ago, converted into a yacht and forgotten. A foundation on Terschelling bought the yacht, converted it back to the original lifeboat and also built the original car from which it was launched from the beach. Tonight the horses had to practice for the first time with the boat and it was impressive to see a hundred year old picture come alive again.
