Irish Film Festival

I don't mean to offend but it really is incredibly Irish to contemplate hosting a Film Festival in a village that doesn't have a cinema!

Yep, that is what we have done here in Schull, today was the first day of the Fastnet Short Film Festival. Screenings of all the films entered are in the local hotel and in this amazing Mobile Cinema, it is parked outside the primary school and once you enter you forget that, the plush seats are tiered down to a fairly large screen, the movies roll and apart from the absense of popcorn you could be in any cinema anywhere in the world.

We have three days of feeling like Cannes, Sundance or even Schull!
