Pop-CHAU

We had a fun best-ball team event at Carleton Golf Club. Teams of 4 compete against each other, but each team is competing against one other team only. Like a challenge between two businesses or families, etc.

It all started 25 years ago (apparently?) when a few employees of the Caisse Populaire challenge employees at CHAU-TV on an 18-hole round and the losing team had to walk across the lake on #4. It got quite popular very quickly and now it's a fairly big event at Carleton Club.

Nowadays, the lake is judged too much of a health hazard and the losers have to sit in a kiddie pool full of cold water. We did. The weather was really hot all day so it was refreshing for the body and hot for the ego. Last year, a cold rain was present the whole day... no need to explain how much fun it was to sit in cold water.
