Drakensberg Mountains

C took this shot from the verandah of their chalet at the Crystal Springs Mountain Lodge, where they stayed for the weekend! They usually book in at a resort about 30km's from the Biker's rally, because they don't really enjoy the hustle and bustle, they are very quiet and just like to visit on the Saturday morning, take a quick walk through the stalls, buy some souvenirs, and then go back to their resort and have a quiet weekend in the mountains.

There were só many great pics to choose from, but this one is my favourite, because it is só loaded with natural miracles! Please note, in the middle of the pic, where the very green tree forms a focal point, just left to the tree is a lovely example of Columnar basalt, further on you can see the breathtaking valleys and all different kinds of rock formations, on a clear day, this is absolutely something to see, but it was raining this morning when they started packing to come back!

I am só glad they've decided to take the two bikes on a trailer this time, yikes, it would've been terrible to ride back in the rain, with winter temps! ;-)
