Drop zone

So today was skydiving day! Up at 6am, out the door my 7.

Arrived at 9 and the weather was looking promising initially but soon it soon clouded over and the rain started. Also, the "school" turned out to be not so great - little more than a rusty shed with a faded Wesley Snipes' Drop Zone poster pinned outside. After 30 minutes of form filling and a training video we were told to hang tight and wait for the weather to improve, which of course it didn't, so we trundled off to the "cafe" - a leaky shed this time - to wait it out. We lasted 'til 12.30 and called it a day.

So then it was a visit to Dundee for a quick stop at the parents', then a drive to Dollar Glen and a walk up to Castle Campbell - originally Castle Gloom, ironic as by then the weather was gorgeous. Finished the day with pheasant at the Tarmaukin - not a bad trade-off, considering.
