Camera Shy

Not the ubiquitous chicken shot, but a surprise visitor to the garden today - well, not that much of a surprise but normally they take flight as soon as we open the door.

This chap wasn't keen to have his photo taken, hence the action shot and slightly blurred effect, but you can see the markings on his feathers and around his eyes beautifully - and where he gets his name from... Alectoris rufa, Red Legged Partridge
