Something Violet

I'm on my third "Color" day and I wanted to photograph an image of something that really shows off the color violet and I figured this lotus flower would be the perfect subject. We have a small water pond just outside our front door and there are at least half a dozen blooms sprouting out of the water just waiting to be noticed. This time Kermit and his buddy must be somewhere hiding from the heat of the afternoon sun, instead two black ants have taken residence.
