Coming in to land

Up early this morning (04:50) to get to Headcorn in Kent for a hot-air balloon trip. A friend had been given the trip for herself and her husband, but sadly her husband died about six months ago and she asked me if I would like to go instead.

We were half an hour late, having gone to the aerodrome by mistake, instead of the golf club. It didn't matter as it was quite misty early on and so the flight was delayed. Eventually we took off about 08:15 and the flight lasted 65 minutes.

On the way we had good views of Frittenden and Sissinghurst Castle. We landed in a field near Benenden, but it took the support vehicle some time to find us.

It was a good way to start the day. Would I do it again? Yes.
