My Zenit-E Tale

Last night I started watching a podcast called "The Art of Photography" and I'm really enjoying it. Ted Forbes is quite easy to listen to and great at explaining things to someone who has only used point and shoot most his life. Well since I helped my Dad in his darkroom/bathroom when I was little.

Later on I was chatting to my brother-in-law about it as he is really enjoying discovering film photography and was struggling to find a good resource. As we chatted I suddenly remembered that my Dad gave me a camera twenty years ago which belonged to my Granddad after he died in 1989. I had it somewhere and went digging in the attic and found it in a box of keepsakes...a Zenit-E.

I played around with camera for a while and popped the back open to find a film at the end, beyond the end, in fact it had been pulled right out of the case and the teeth had ripped the holes in the film. I slammed it shut and darted for the bathroom - lights out and no windows - Pulled it from the reel and rolled it up before putting it in a make shift blacked-out case.

Tonight I went to Jessops to see if they could help me but they couldn't. They needs to send it away and getting it out of the make shift case was a problem...no darkroom. I now need to find a specialist so I'm open to suggestions.
