A bird with whiskers

Another fabulous day on Hadrian's Wall. Spent most of it in the vegetable garden digging a ditch to bury a rabbit-proof fence in - they seem to be particularly fond of the peas. All around birds were chattering away, feeding and gathering nesting material. Some of the young have fledged now but I thought this male House Sparrow looked amusing, almost as if he'd grown a mustache.
