Bumblings of a bee

Family life

A family of swans by a local pool. Mum hissed at me when I first approached, but was soon quiet when she realised I was no danger to her babies.

It is amazing that the cygnets are here at all, as the parents always build their nest on the other side of a fence to a fairly busy road. Someone (Rangers possibly) put netting across the fence when the eggs hatched, presumably to prevent the youngsters from wandering into the road.

I haven't seen them on the water yet - maybe that will be another Blip!
