A beautiful Swallowtail, the largest and one of our most attractive butterflies. I read that over twenty species occur in the States making them very popular. This one drifted in, silently, a ray of sunshine on a gloomy, humid day going quickly downhill. We're skirting thunderstorms at the moment and the proposed yard work of the day may never happen to the extent we wished for...
