Going Home - Part 3

Well, the rest of the flight went smoothly after a bit of a turbulent few hours where the Captain got the hosties to sit down. So we had to wait a while for our meal! I must say as a professional pilot I think that USA pilots seem to err hugely on the side of caution with air turbulence. In fact for the whole 7 hours of the flight never once did they turn off the fasten seatbelts sign!!! So in the end people just had to ignore it when they needed to get us and use the loos. I think it is a post 9-11 thing that USA pilots just don't want people out of their seats! But instead it breads a culture of just ignoring the signs and getting up anyhow.

So heathrow was it's usual horrid self! Terminal 3 a walk for hours to the bags and then a wait of ages for the bags to come. I feel ashamed as a Brit that this is often the first many visitors see of the UK! A tatty air terminal, poor service and people with bad attitudes (not all, sorry).

The car was waiting outside so we hopped in and got home!

Bear was very pleased to get in his own bed finally!

We unpacked. Hubby cut the grass. I popped to the shops to get a few things.

I then went to sleep around 4pm. Got up at 8pm. Watched a recorded Dr Who. Went bed to again at 9pm.... and that was Sunday!
