Rock Folly

This pavilion was built in 1801 and is to be found in Mote Park - Maidstone.

In 2010 it is sadly dilapidated and overgrown.

This once handsome structure bears the inscription "This Pavilion was erected by the Volunteers of Kent as a tribute of respect to the Earl of Romney,Lord Lieutenant of the County,MDCCCI"

You can see more of it here.

What hidden gems are waiting to be discovered where you live?
