Weathering the Weather

Its now been raining for over 24 hours pretty much non-stop and shows no obvious signs that its on the way out for the next 24 hours. That coupled with a long day in the office leads to a fairly miserable day with few blipping opportunities. Gotta love the British summer.

Today's blip is a rather wet and bedraggled foxglove, one of the first in the garden to show itself. Its backed by a nice wee pink perennial geranium, neither of them really enjoying the rain.

The foxglove (or digitalis) is primarily a woodland plant but is also often seen traditionally in cottage type gardens where it was presumably initially grown for its medicinal purposes.

I like it for its height and strangely formed flowers which are excellent for attracting bees and if I catch one inside it WILL be blipped
