Left Standing

The Calgary Riverfront area east of downtown used to be a very sketchy area of town.

A major effort to redevelop is underway and most of the buildings in about a 6 block area have been torn down to make way for new development.

Looks like it will be nice when finished, with paving stone streets and sidewalks.

A few of the nicer, historic buildings have been left, which will add some character.
