Energy house tech: hot tubes

Very high tech tubes that heat water for an energy efficient house that I talked about earlier. These are black tubes inside clear glass tubes. The sun heats the inner part. They are part of an array of a couple dozen tubes. Droplets of water are let in at the top. It is so hot inside that the drop immediately vaporizes, and the steam is collected, then sent to the hot-water system of the house.

About the photo: what's weird here is the point of focus, which is inside the glass tubes. Makes your eyes tired to look at it.
