snail remains

This snail had the misfortune of meeting a thrush, and I witnessed the whole affair. The thrush cracked that snail open like a boiled egg at breakfast. The snail's only protection had become its downfall. Damn, I'm glad I'm not a snail. Or a boiled egg for that matter.
