Was re-potting some tiger lilys this morning and found this little chap amongst the leaves.
Apparently he's been hanging around the plants for a few days now.

I believe it's a no-spot ladybird.
He flew away after I got a few shots, so this was the best of the bunch.

Made me wonder whether being called a ladybird is a bit annoying for males.
But then, that don't speak English, so they probably don't know.

Still need to get myself something better for macro shots.

Edit: Apparently it's a Lily Beetle, which gets its name from its favourite snack. Better keep an eye out for his return.
