Crystal Cavern

This photo was taken of an amethyst cathedral, like a small crystal cavern. You can see all the different colors of purple and even the tiny dendritic spots inside of some of the crystals.

These cathedrals are aptly named as there is something almost mystical about them. Their outer shell is not attractive in any way, but cut them open and inside are glorious crystals. Each one is unique and amazing. I have six of them in different sizes and I love looking at them, some with hundreds of tiny crystals, and some with dozens of large ones.
