A walk round the the hill

It was the 'Race for Life' today, a 10 or 5 km run/walk round Arthur's Seat in Holyrood Park. I was one of the 5K walkers. Unlike last year they had us going widdershins again, which is definitely harder going for some reason. However, until it came on to rain most of it took place in a cooling "scotch mist" which was quite pleasant.

This is a small selection of the 6000 or so woman of all ages, shapes and conditions who did the course, all raising money for Cancer Research. There are a couple of fulmars nesting on those crags behind the walkers - it must be a very different view for them compared with their cousins on the Isle of May!
