I miss my SLR - but films are so slow!

I know this is out of focus - excusse is that is was pouring down and mit looking like a wonderfull shot with the drops on the flower and the colours etc.

Unfortunaltly I can't afford a DSLR so I have one that make decisions for me. Such as focussing. Why it decided to focus on the wire in the background rather than the dirty great flower that took up most of the image beats me!!!!

Next task is to work out how to tell it that I KNOW what to focus on and to stop making decisions itself!! - I hate computers!! ( as a programmer in a previous life and an IT teacher now I am qualified to hate them! - and can give a host of reasons why)
