World Refugee Week

We have been marking World Refugee Week in our Learning Families this week. The students have been learning about the countries that refugees come from, and what it means to be a refugee and seek asylum. Each Family was given a country as a focus and ours was Ethiopia. The hands and flags will be worked into a huge banner by our very creative Visual Technician Sheena and tomorrow primary school children will visit to see it and have a themed quiz on what they have been learning in their own schools.

As part of the activities we had to think of several 'simple acts' which we could all do in support of refugees. My simple act is to draw attention to the subject on here.

On a less sober note, I blipped the hares again today at a distance (need to borrow lawrie's posh lens), playing and having nookie!
