Was It Really So Long Ago

Eagle Eye

A local raptor society displayed at the East Bergholt School this afternoon. The event was the annual summer fayre and of course the rain was torrential.

The Eagle Owl pictured here seemed to be camera shy as every time I moved to take a picture, he moved his head in the opposite direction. This is the best I could manage. He's a beautiful creature accompanied by a Barn Owl, Tawny Owl and a Kestrel.

The children loved their time, both of them wanted their faces painted. The theme was flags of the world. Our elder daughter opted for the St George's Cross, whilst our younger daughter, after some deliberation went for the Algerian flag. After a firm talking to however, she decided she would be better off with the England flag too :-)
