End of Year Show for Creative Arts and Media today. It's something Michael has been working on for awhile and it was fantastic (and I'm not just saying that). Instead of having the show at the college, he moved it to an empty shop at the local mall. This enabled a lot more people to attend and promoted the college - two for one!

While that was going on all day, Charlotte and I escaped for a bit for some shopping. But as we were in Wolverhampton, we migrated to the Art Gallery as there were two new exhibitions that we wanted to see. We were very glad we did as there was another AudioTalk that we were able to attend. AudioTalks are designed for blind people as the curator describes a piece (or pieces) of work for the blind. It's fantastic for us as we always learn something new or 'see' the picture in a different light. Plus, we really like the group and they accepted us into their talks (although my accent did throw them a bit - apparently they hear 'American with a twist'.

Afterwards, we all went shopping to prepare for Lissy's adoption tomorrow. Locus' and meal worms are now in our house. Charlotte already 'lost' one meal worm (which luckily was quickly found). Suppose I should get use to this ...

More pictures here.

This piece was probably my favorite. It was sculpted using clay then blacken with everyday shoe polish. The wings are steel blades. It's about 2 1/2 feet tall. I was very upset it didn't win best in show.
