Field Beans

The farmer has planted field beans in the field where our apiary is. This is good news for the bees! They love the nectar and it makes very nice honey. It is also in flower in June which can help keep them going through the "June Gap" which marks the period between the spring nectar flow of blossoms and hawthorn and the Summer flow from clover and all the flowering garden plants.
