IN MEMORIUM

Today, we learned the name of the 300th British combat personnel who died as a result of the war in Afghanistan. Our thoughts are with the families and friends of each and everyone of them, as well as the civilians and Afghan nationals who have died. The Cenotaph, in Westminster, is the nation's focus for remembering members of the Armed Forces who died in the two World Wars. Floral tributes are left here throughout the year, not just on Remembrance Sunday in November.

26 June is Armed Forces' Day in the UK.
