awfluffycutenessbabybirdies!

i've had a couple of blue tits at the bird feeders since about half an hour after i put them up last autumn - today i have got five baby ones! not sure where they were nesting, but these chaps must've just fledged recently - they're getting their adult feathers, but are still fluffy and brown round the edges and they're good at hanging on, so they've got the, er, hang of their feet and feathers, but prefer to hang on and on and on, rather than flit in for a bite then flit off, like the adults. bless. 15 mins of pure amusement watching them - i hope they all make it (even if it does put a strain on my feeders sustaining them!)
